Question: Do people who say they “accept gays” really think that GLBT people are looking for their approval?
I don’t know, but hearing someone say “I accept gays”, or “I’m gay friendly” or whatever just seems like a control thing to me. It reminds me of an old English king/queen movie where they’re tapping the knights with the sword or whatever and declaring their approval or something.
Do straight people really think GLBT’s need this “approval”?
Answer:
Answer by DEATH
Well some do actually think that way, but then again, there are those who simply don’t have the vocabulary to say they “Support” gays/lesbians/bisexuals/transgenders.
Don’t take it personally, just pity their limited lexicon.
I don’t think the majority of those who say that actually believe we are looking for their approval. They mean that they support us and/or simply have no issue with us.
Question: Will the GLBT Community ever be given equality?
So far several different states in the US have been passing laws that restrict or ban GLBT people from having the same protections and rights under the constitution of the US when it comes to employment, partnerships, adoption, and insurance coverage. Does anyone think with each state making their own specific laws that this issue might go before the federal level for final judgment? I would think that since the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence both speak of equality and justice for ALL, but is that really true in America today? What do you think?
Ok, apparently some people are choosing to distort the question. How can you possibly equate equality for the GLBT community to incestuous fathers? That’s just a sad and desperate attempt to stir up more hatred. Good for you Happy 2, you just attested to how much close mindedness still exists in the world. Try pitching something that is in the ball park and not from left field.

no you are tolerated not accepted
it has always been so and always will be so
the problem is that you do have justice , a straight man or a gay man can both equaly marry a woman. what you want is an exception to marry a man, straight men cant marry a man either there fore once again it is equal
teh constition does not protect your right to behave differently just that you be treated the same….and you have been you are allowed to marry women
